Trap: Unhinged and Unrealistic

M. Night Shyamalan’s movies tend to be polarizing, but I find myself enjoying them more often than not. The twist of Trap was twofold, for me, in that the ending was oddly interesting, but I also was not expecting the plot to be what it was based on the trailer (that’s on me! I didn’t pay close enough attention). Those two things alone made the movie worth seeing, but I do think that the premise consequently required several far fetched reaches in the writing that will make your eyes want to roll back in your skull.
