Shadow Force: A Beam of Light
Thought this would be a background-watch-on-netflix type of movie, but it honestly pulled me in. Kerry Washington doesn’t usually get the lead in big action box office roles, so it was refreshing to see her front and center—and she delivered.
Fight or Flight: Missed Connection
Decent concept, wild execution—it wanted to be Bullet Train so bad but it never quite gets off the runway. The action is nonstop, but the plot feels like it’s an afterthought.
Until Dawn: Let's Not Do The Time Warp Again
If nothing else, this movie deserves credit for attempting to do something fresh. That said, it just doesn’t make any fucking sense.
Sinners: What a Blessing
Phenomenal. Ryan Coogler is just TOO GOOD and the two hours fly by so fast, as a result. Such a great addition to the Black horror canon. The acting from the entire cast is amazing and Michael B. Jordan does a great job in carrying his dual roles. Absolutely no notes.
Drop: Unnecessary Screen Time
While it turned out to be more entertaining than expected, there’s not too many redeeming qualities about this one.
