This is based on a novel, which leaves a lot of room for interpretation. The movie was interesting but failed to offer insight on key things, like the origins of how The Watchers came to exist in this specific forest and nowhere else…

This is a bonafide slasher. there were several well-placed jump scares but, honestly, I was under the impression that this was going to be a prequel.
Tarot: Not Playing With a Full Deck
Interesting concept but casting was not helpful, at all. Felt as though everything was forced, as a result. The movie finds itself wanting to be a Final Destination of sorts throughout and ends with a lazy resolution.
Challengers: Because Sex and Sports…Duh
Was primarily invested in seeing this movie to get more perspective of Zendaya’s acting range, which is front and center in this movie.
