A typical, predictable romcom — the entire movie is practically in the trailer. that said, it does have its laughs and fills the cheesy “awwww” void in the movie landscape right now.

This is a bonafide slasher. there were several well-placed jump scares but, honestly, I was under the impression that this was going to be a prequel.
Tarot: Not Playing With a Full Deck
Interesting concept but casting was not helpful, at all. Felt as though everything was forced, as a result. The movie finds itself wanting to be a Final Destination of sorts throughout and ends with a lazy resolution.
Challengers: Because Sex and Sports…Duh
Was primarily invested in seeing this movie to get more perspective of Zendaya’s acting range, which is front and center in this movie.
Abigail: Vapid Meets Vampire
Vampires movies have the tendency to be either extremely over the top or extremely brooding and too cool for school this was an interesting medium on that spectrum but definitely leans more to the over the top side
Civil War: Too Close for Comfort
This movie was considerably “scary” because of the very real threat of this country being pushed into a Civil War after events like January 6th.
