Really love the 2006 remake of The Omen and have never seen the 1976 version, to which this movie is a prequel. Even having not seen the original, this prequel did a great job in telling a believable origin story.
This was everything you could want in a movie about revenge. The fight scenes were choreographed with great detail. The camera work was a little dizzying at some points but that only adds to the chaotic nature of those scenes.
This one came out of nowhere. Definitely worth the watch, if you like horror. Unlike most others that run parallel with religion, this one didn’t have much to do with possession and more with what felt like a cult-like obsession with ‘playing God’ and the return of the Messiah.
Though part one takes a while to accelerate, part two picks up right where things started to take off. I’ve never read the novel or watched the original movie, but it was pretty easy to get invested in this franchise once things started going.
You really hate to see potential go to waste. Here’s the thing: because there was minimal world building done to achieve the concept of the movie, I feel like it does leave a lot of possibility for more exploration.
Strong biopic. Bob Marley is so iconic that, ironically, we don’t often see him humanized beyond the music. the movie did a great job on doing that by focusing on what motivated him to leave behind the legacy that he did.
