This is a vampire movie that does exactly what it’s supposed to. A well-executed remake of its original, all of the traditional markers of bloodsucking lore are present and accounted for. There are several moments that seemed disjointed and really force you to suspend disbelief to stay immersed in the story, but it’s an enjoyable ride if you don’t mind hitting a few plot holes.
